vacuum modulator

hay guys, I've been having trouble with my 3 spd auto lately, it seems to shift really late into second from first, and then it just goes right into 3rd, i suspect the vacuum modulator and picked up a new one, but don't know where it goes, or if theres gonna be any surprises, it has a weird fitting at one end and I can't imagine how a vacuum line fits onto it, but anyhow,if you have any insight for me let me know, it will make the job alot easier for me

You might just need a new hose,check it first.
