Would like any help possible to get this blower motor going again. I checked the fuse and it looks fine. I don't believe its the switch but it could be I guess. It just quit working no signs of it dying or anything. I did order another blower motor but do not know where the thing is located in my 93 festiva, 5 speed. Any help with where its located and how difficult it is to change will be appreciated. Thanks, Jim "freezing in Michigan"

Hello Jim...welcome to the site. I have never had to replace one myself but I think it may be a pain from what I remember reading. There is a switch or relay that may be the real culprit. I will see if I can find the recent post someone had on this and get you a link.
When you get a chance go into your profile and add your location, it will save all the where are you located questions and there may actually be someone close that has parts or can help when you need it."FLTG4LIFE" @FINALLEVEL , "PBH"

Thanks for the link but I already read that one...
I appreciate you taking the time to find that link for me but I already read that one. He just messed with some wires in that link and got it running again.
I need someone to help me with location of and putting on of the blower motor. Thanks though. Jim

You can see it if you stick your head down by the pedals and look up under the dash towards the passenger side. If I remember it's held in with three bolts and can be replaced with some contortions and suitable words of encouragement!
I can sympathize... I've had to replace mine and wouldn't want to do it now as its about -24°C (-11°F) today!
Good luck!Ian

Yes..once you unscrew the 3 bolts it just slides out. But on top of the motor there's that resistor...2 screws hold that thing in....check it also. In the other link that I had problems with my motor running, there was a schematic how to check resistance between wires. If you do that, you will know if its the motor or not. That was actually very helpfull for me.
But if you dont get anything going in all 3 positions its probably the motor...more likely you've been running it so much maybe the brushes worn out? Who knows, but please update us with the fix?Ski

Hi guys, I read in the link provided about tapping the motor with something to see if it will start blowing again. Low and behold I did and it did. All these days I spent freezing when I could of just tapped on the thing and gotten some heat. DUH. I still havent received the motor I ordered. I still may need it. Thanks for all the help. This forum is great. Jim
