I am highly thinking about doing the aspire swap on my festy as far as the wheels/bearings, etc. I was wondering if the Aspire's have pressed in bearings & seals or if it is just like the festy's. Reason I am finally giving in is because it seems like every time I turn around I am replacing bearings on her & one time a couple weeks ago the bearing locked up on me while driving & my festy come to a screeching hault. I can't seem to get any good Spindles off the local junkyards without them destroying the threads to get them off, & Ford has discontinued making them & can't get 'em

IIRC, for the front bearings, the outers are pressed on the hub while the inners sit in the spindle, retained by the seal. The advantage over the Festiva's is that they are independant from the rotors, while the Festiva require taking the bearings apart everytime you need to change rotors. The rear bearings are the same design though. The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!
