master cylinder reservior...repair?

i was swapping the reservor to the new master cylinder and i heard a dreaded sound SNAP!!! one of the lower femal connecters broke off the reservoir
i was going to take the one from my 88 festiva for the 91 but the 88 is needed for atleast a few more weeks.
can anyone think of a way to fix it till i can get one at the pick n pull on monday?
anyone near florida ny 10921 happen to want to part with one for a few sheckles?

Oh, I have no issue with JB weld resisting glycol esters.
I just don't think the epoxy will stick/adhere to the HDPE of the reservoir.
In this case I'd get a new/JY one.
Too dangerous if it fails.

FYI Lots of other reservors are compatible.. aspire, 323, tracer... exct

what about entire masters? anything out there an upgrade?
all 6 parts stores i deal with dont carry much for a festy....

I know for a fact that the aspire MC works, and is an upgrade. The manual one is bigger than the festiva MC, and the aspire auto MC is even bigger. As for resivoirs, I'm sure many early 90s mazdas will work. I know for a fact the 323 one works, it is rectangular instead of round, but it fits fine.

im returing the master i bought 46.03 and just bought one shipped to my shop with a reservoir for 53.18 with no core. i'll have it monday at 9 am

sweet let us know how it goes. I bought one on ebay a while back for the 86-89 323 application. Square style resivoir and MC for 35 shipped.

I feel the pain.....I broke my reservior when a I swaped out my Master Cyliner a couple years ago.

I would glue the reservoir in place rather than glue it and try to install it...this would lessen the risk of putting undo stress on the joint during re-install.

I'm Not sure what the inside diameter of the nipple on the reservoir is....but maybe it can be rill out to fit a small length of tubing....or....take a piece of tubing....run a die over it to cut threads...then tap the reservoir with the corresponding tap...then screw the tubing into the nipple.
