  • gas leaking

im replacing the gas tank in the car do to rust. How many of you guys have had the same problem. either way i found a new one the junkyard, it was aftermarked and looks like it could be sold as new. plus it was ten bucks. my other question is what are the other two or three lines coming out of the tank and going to a module next to the filler neck. is it an evap canister, can i just cap off the nipples and remove that junk. or is this necessary?

since you have left out what year the car is, for some reason........

my guess its a fuel injected car .......

and yes you can remove that "junk"

if you do not mind vapors building up in your tank and the return line spilling into your interior?????????

    happy motoring

its a 92. But what is that thing with the other gas lines going to it, the return line goes straight to the tank if im not mistaken. Im kinda of curious what the actuall function of it is. i cant really see it venting extra gas fumes into the interior like that. I have no clue just need an answer.
