can anyone tell me the torque setting for the front hub nuts 91 festiva

From my Ford shop manual: 116 to 174 lbs. ft. (wheel nuts to halfshaft ends).
If you don't have a torque wrench that goes up that far, use a 2 foot breaker bar on your 1 and 1/8" socket and stand on it. That's what I did. Now I have a cheapie torque wrench that goes up to 150 but I haven't used it yet.
Now go get your own manual!

If you reuse the axle nut, just tighten it up until the stake mark lines up again. If you are using a new nut, you need to use a torque wrench(actually you really should use one in both cases). WARNING, if you use a two foot bar, and stand on the end of it, if the bar is parallel to the ground and we assume you weigh 175 pounds, you just torqued the nut to 350 pound*ft. Way too much. Torque wrench is always best.Comment
