Can anyone tell me the difference between the 93 Festiva 1.3 engine and the 96 Aspire 1.3? I want to build me a spare engine and I have found a 96 Aspire complete engine cheep>

only difference is odbII equipment, MAF, sensors, ect... (because it is 96, if it were 95 it would be odbI and the only diff would be the MAF)
other than that, the basic motor parts are the same, block, heads, intake ect...1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!

Aspire Different
the distributor in the aspire is also different, it doesnt use an external coil, so im guessing that you could just use you festie coil & dis1996 Aspire, 2DR 5SPD 185 60 14, Aluminum rims, Mild Stereo system, some neon tubes, 185 000 km not a speck of rust runs like a champ
