  • Buzzing... all i hear is buzzing

OK my drivers side door switch is rusted right away. And now my in car buzzer is going crazy. My whole trip to school was annoying as hell because of it. Is there a fuse i can pull or do i have to fish out the rusted out wires and separate them permanently... cause its my notion that its a short.

Reach under the dash and physically yank the buzzer module out. There's a clump of modules to the left of the steering wheel, and it's in there somewhere.

It doesn't affect anything at all except the seatbelt light in the instrument cluster.

I yanked mine out, disabled the buzzer with a pair of pliers, and plugged the module in so I could get the benefit of the seatbelt reminder light.

    Regards,

        what models have the buzzer?

My car doesn't buzz or ding when I leave my lights on and open the door which as resulted in me draining my battery a few times! I drive a 1990 L.

I had a similar problem to yours, I think I set a record for battery drains (I stopped counting after 12) Easy fix was upgrading to an instrument cluster that has a tach.

The tach clusters have a buzzer if you forget your lights on. If you upgrade to an instrument cluster with a tach, it will buzz when you leave your lights on and open the door. I think the buzzer is not in the cluster, but the wiring to make work go through the cluster
I will NOT drive a minivan
