Advance Auto Parts has the rectifiers, the bearings, and the regulator for the alternator, but it would cost you as much as buying a rebuilt alternator. I would recommend getting another one for the same money. However, the one you got off of eBay may have a warranty. I would check on that before i did anything.

      Korean alternator

I have never rebuilt a Korean alternator yet. Is it similar to a Delco? Is there a hole to put the long wooden handle of a Q-tip to hold the brushes off of the commutator until it is put together and then you can pull it out?

Look in the Yellow Pages under auto electric (not erotic).
There was a shop near here that used to overhaul them for $13.
That was over 10 yrs ago when I replaced mine.

The original is Mitsubishi, as are most of the electronics on the Festiva, which I suspect is what makes the ignition unreliable.

I would double check and make sure your belt is tight. They can loosen over time. It does not have an automatic tensioner so it will need to be adjusted manually every so often. Also you did not give much detail as to when it is acting up and what it is actually doing and whether it is making noises.

As I have stated in previous threads, I live in the area and could come and give you a hand. I've had to adjust mine a couple of times.
