missing parts and don't know what it is

ok i looked at my gfs brothers escort gt to see if i was missing any parts off my throttle body and this is whats missing and my tps is way diffrent from his and his car is the same year and every thing my tps looks like the automatic tranny tps it has 4 prong plug and his has three the manual tranny tps but my car is a manual and it was factory. would the 1.9 have this and would it work on this and what is it? and would that cause my car to fall flat on its face when you rev it up quickly?

IIRC the whole throttle body is different between automatics and manuals on BPs. So if you have a manual car, better use the manual TB with the 3 pin TPS.

And you can't just swap TPS's. You need the shaft that goes thru the throttle body. So if you need to switch the TPS then you need to the entire body.

3 wire are for the 5 speed cars, 4 wire are for the automatics

ok i now that it is a manual ok the car has a junk yasrd motor in it. I didn't put it in so i don't know whats missing or what year or if it was from and automatic ok and fb71 im tryin figure stuff out so dont complain ok i don't know nuthin about this car. im tryin to get it runnig right and its missing parts and stuff so if u have advice help me

well to answer a question you had earlier, that part is a "dash pot" ( i think that's the name) anyway, it's there to keep the throttle from snapping shut durring a shift and potentially choking out the engine.

ok so if it was gone would it cause the car to like act like it was geting a rag stuffed in the intake and cuting off all air to the motor when reved up quickly or fast excellaration?
