bumping noise in front end?

when i'm going slow and hit a bump, like in a drive way or pulling out into a road across that little dip, or even sometimes if i'm turning and let off the gas in first gear i hear this bump in the front end somewhere. i dont know what it is coming from. i just put new LCA's in it last week. the sway bar bushings are still there. everything seems to be tight. anyone have any idea what this could be?

Sounds like maybe the trans mount on the bottom has came apart and is banging as it moves , mine did that , I replaced it and all is well .
Bought mine at O'Reillys Auto parts .Maybe $25.00

As the motor torques back and forth it make the mount slap .
Check it out and let us know .

Double check the control arms and sway bar mounting bushings....your problem sounds like that area of the car. Also, check the strut springs and their mounts.

alright. yeah it sounds exactly like a sway bar bushing is gone and its banging around in there. but all seems well. i guess i'll have to get it up on the lift and really check over it. it was doing it a little before i put the control arms on but now it seems to do it a little more.

Same noise on 90 Rustiva was the fore and aft tranny support bouncing off the sway bar. The crossmember had rusted away where the two front bolts and bushings attach.

cheak all bushings and mounts also shake front end down.

Here is what packrat is talking about. Youd hear this when you were accelerating and pushed in the clutch to shift. I got my tranny mount for $16. I thought one possibility could be a missing mount or two on your exhaust somewhere.
