If you don't like Rain-X, there is an alternate treatment; I cannot remember the name though. It comes in two parts, you crack the thing open to combine the chemicals, and wipe it on, let it haze, and wipe it off. It lasts for a good 2 months easily. I think PPG makes it.
Makes Rain-X seem crappy in comparison.
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

well if you replace them more then twice a year then you are already spending more....if you use rain-x then you have to add that too. I spend $26.00 on mine and I already love them.

I too hated buying wipers....it took numerous times of walking down the isle with them in my hand and then turning around and putting them back and getting the cheaper ones before I finally broke down and got them.
Like Doug said....they do not need to be changed for winter....no cracks for the snow and ice to get into. And if they last like the people I know that already have them say they will.....then I think it will be money well spent.
I have the spring things on both of mu wipers like Doug but they still lift and streak in a couple places with regular wipers. These do not do that at all. It is snowing now so I will get to test them in the snow too.

Just my .02 but I've had great luck with this product on all my vehicles:

I think that if you've used rain x before it helps to remove the old residue, as well as any traces of oil or salts, as well those annoying out of blade range water spots. It makes glass feel like glass again. Just don't get it on the rubber windshield trim or the blades themselves.
I use that stuff once a year with no rain x afterwards, and the new style blades with good results.

Anyone else lost their blades in a drive through car wash dryer?

Totally understand my friend. But.....lol....I am not sure about lifting problems on the other cars but for the Festy I know its an issue. If you were to try it on the Festy and they lasted 1 year....then put them on the others if satisfied...that works out to about $190 for all the cars. Almost the same price. Then if you are using rain-x...theres more money you are saving if you no longer have to use it. Right now the only thing I am insure of with these blades is the longevity. Reports I have heard say they last longer then other blades.....so I will see. But I know I was in your shoes when it comes to spending the money on the blades....but the frustration that goes along with the cheaper blades counts for some extra money in my book too. So even if they last 8 - 10 months....I will be totally happy paying the extra and not having to deal with the lifting and the streaks.
