Electrical Problem (I think)

Hey all,

Ok so I go to start the ol Festy the other day - turn the key and nothign happens. No ticking clicking banging moanign groaning - no noise at all. I thought at first I might have left my lights on or somethign and drained the battery. Left the battery charger on over night and same thing happened the next day.

Funny thing is that the headlights work fine, the lights that are installed under my dash work fine but it's as if my ignition is not getting any power.

When I turn the key half way which would normally allow my CD player to tunr on etc nothign happens. No power gets to my CD player or turn signals etc.

I checked the battery connection and it's solid and the battery is charged?

Which one of you Festiva masters can help me out here?

I also can't shift it out of park. Is that normal? I can't remember if you can normally shift out of park as long as your foot is on the break.
