  • Ignition help?

So, I'm tried of having to push start my car after 3 days of it. And since no auto parts place in a 50 mile radius of me can get a ignition starter switch (the one behind the lock and cylinder), I come to you guys.

Can anyone get a new one and ship it to me?

    or

    Any ideas for a replacement?

    Or as another option

How bout some kind of cool race car style ignition switch? For example, nascars and F1 cars use a cool panel with multiple switches and such?

Any ideas and input would be helpful.

    Thanks.
    Slainte!

When the switch isn't working I have put the car in neutral and turned the key to ignition. Then gone under the hood and hot wired the starter to get it going. I had to do this to an aspire i bought and just borrowed a different key from the seller and used the key to jump it. You could do it with a simple switch also, if you were looking for something permanent. Run one wire to the positive on your battery and run the other to the flat lead that is on the starter solenoid. Then when you flip the switch it will turn the starter.

Right now I'm going sticking with the "Skate board" starting technique. At least till next pay check.

I'm thinking I'm gonna end up with the push button. Just gotta work out the details.
