A/c compressor compatibility/ WTB

Hey im having trouble finding answer on the compatibility of the a/c compressors are they the same on all festys 88-93 auto or man ???? basic ?
And if anyone has one decent one for sale Pm me Thanks everyone

I'm pretty sure there is a difference between the dealer install and factory install compressors. Other than that I think the manual and auto are the same and all the years are the same. But, maybe I missed something.

Can anyone add to this ive had many ac places send me the same compressor that is listed to fit my 88 lx factory air but it is not the right one anyone have a list of the ac compressors installed from factory????

As fr as i know its like gottafesty said. Only 2 types, factory and dealer air.

Okay, just did a side by side comparison on Rock Auto using a 1988 lx, and a 1993 gl. For the most part, the compressor part numbers are the same for both models. If you happen to have the model number for the one on the car, that would help. But, with a couple of exceptions, the parts numbers for a 1988lx and a 1993gl are the same. But having the part number from your current compressor would really answer the question. My advice would be to find the part number on yours, if you can find it, and search www.rockauto.com

But, the short answer to your question seems to be every manufacturer who makes/rebuilds a/c compressors for Festivas list more than one part number. Some as many as 3 or 4.
