  • 1989 auto only getting 20.38 MPG!!

Hey there... My 1989 auto is only getting 20.38 MPG..

The engine is fairly sick, there's a tick while I'm driving and it's either leaking oil or burning it... Every month or so I have to put 1/4th of a gallon of oil into it... I'm fairly sure I'm not getting enough oil pressure.

    Any suggestions?

What is the odometer reading? I will bet dollars to doughnuts that you either have compression issues, or valve seal issues.

With the mileage on the car, I would definitely look at compression testing it.
