Spindle Lock Nut

has anyone replaced type 1 attaching nut on the rear brakes ? been to napa, advance auto and parts plus and the nut they had was way to small it's looks like the same size as the font axle any help thanks

i had to order a beck arnley part# 103-0514

Be aware: the Right side rear axle nut has a LEFT HAND ("reversed") thread. The left side is a "normal" thread. No joke. Right rear spindles have gotten mangled because some ham-fisted guy at the shop who didn't know this tried to install a normal threaded nut onto a reverse threaded spindle.

Just replaced both of mine today , after I repacked the bearings .

I always get mine at O'Reillys Auto parts.

Then I keep the set I took off , and keep them in the car , just encase of a emergency for me or someone else .

I've never had a problem at AZ...CarQuest or NAPA.
