  • 4 or 5 speed?

I found a manual tx I can buy. Is there any way to tell if it's a 5 speed or not if it's not in the car?

Oh I'm sorry, He says it is out of an '88 Festy, but hes not sure. He got it from the junkyard, but sold the car before installing it. I sure don't want to replace my 5 speed with a 4 if ya get my drift.

Unless he got it out of an 88LX its a 4 speed.

That's what I'm worried about, and he acts like he doesn't know anything about it which scares me more, plus it's a long drive. I think I talked myself out of it with your help. Thanks for the help.
