    Mine makes the same noise. Its the stupid washer that keeps the timing belt on the lower gear. Its rubbing on the oil pump. I have no timing belt covers on my motor and once in a wile I squirt some WD on it and it will go away for a day or so. That washer is thin so thats why it is so high piched. I thought it was the pump too but after changing it I still had the noise.
    As for econoaddict. He is a personal friend of mine. I would let him work on my stuff anytime. Hes probably the only one I would let work on my stuff. Hes a great mechanic and runs a successful shop.

      I have been told by my mechanic which, after 4 vehicles and at least 25-30 times to his shop has only given me 3 misdiagnosis, is saying its coming from my distributor. and i believe him cause i put a stetho on it and it bout blew my ears out.

        AH HA!!! Change it now! Uncle Fester did that for several months, and I couldn't find the source (didn't really try). Then one day, the distributor just locked up, and left me sitting on the side of I95 with a broken cam.

          Broken Cam? dangz!!! well i've delt with it for about a year now... only got to wait another 2 days. hopefully it comes in tmmrw.
