SOMEBODY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! It's been over 1 week now and I still cannot get my dash lights, parking lights and license plate lighs to turn on. I tried EVERYTHING!! I checked the relay, fuse link, fuse, light bulbs, cleaned ALL the contacts on EVERYTHING. The weird thing is that they were working just fine up to 1 week ago. The relay makes a clicking noise when I turn the switch on but nothing lights up. I've been in my garage every nite for the past week from 11pm-6AM trying to figure it out. I even bought a new relay ($32) and they still will NOT turn on!! Obviously, the light switch itself is not defective because like I said, it is sending a signal to the relay next to the passenger headlight since I do hear a "clicking" from the relay AND I bought a brand new one and my headlights and turn signals along with my high-beams work perfect. So I guess it can't be the light switch or the relay. I also checked the fuse links, and the regular 15amp fuse in the interior panel and they look ok. EVERYTHING else in the car works as it should. I really do NOT know what it can be??? Someone on here mentioned that I should take a jumper wire and "bypass" the relay but how do I do that? I do have some jumper wires but were do I connect them to? Do I connect them to the plug that usually connects to the relay itself? And then, where to I connect the other end? I've been driving my 1992 Mustang LX 5.0 for the past week since I cannot drive my "Festarossa", but gas is KILLING me!! Again, all four of my parking lights, dash lights and my license plate lights will NOT turn on. If ANYBODY can help it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! -Steve (313)220-3000. Berry874@hotmail.com
