Engine Install

Wondering if anyone has had a problem installing their engine.. Particularly the inspection plate getting stuck on the side-axle. Has happened to me twice so far.

I don't have any tips on how for it not to happen, I had to bend mine in order for it to go back together right. Anyone have any tips on how to get it in with less effort?

I just pulled the engine from my festy yesterday and my dust shield got caught on that axle too. I just trimmed the dust shield a little with a pair of tin snips.

Did you not remove the engine with the tranny?

I did the same thing as Bryan.. it only happens if you pull the engine w/o the trans.
