I posted previously about my problems figuring out the problem with the ignition module in this 1989 Festiva that I'm trying to revive. Quick recap: it's been sitting two years, old module was bad, i put in a remanufactured distributor with a module in it, it ran for 5 minutes, then quit, and now I can't get a spark, even though the coil is good and the wires seem fine.
My question now is: what is the correct wiring for the three wires that attach to the ignition module inside the distributor? They are female plugs that attach onto the little pegs on the module. Two of them go to the coil. The third seems to be either a ground or a wire that goes to the little box (that I don't have) that mounts on the distributor to keep the noise down on the stereo (I've heard). If it's actually a ground wire, would I ground it to one the screws on the exterior of the distributor, or better to just ground it somewhere else?
thanks guys!
