  • festive radio code

    gday guys...i have a 1998 festy and have changed the battery.now the problem is that the radio now flashes "CODE" and wont let me enter my 4 digit code number.is there a way in which you can stop the word "code" from flashing so i can enter the numbers?
    any help will be appreciated guys,cheers.

      u should be able to put the code in as long as its not flashing err

        Wow! the radio's manual should tell how to place the four digits

              there has got to be a series u follow...do u know the series?...for example u gotta hit menu then type the 4 digits then menu again....something like that...do u know the series?...if so then the code might be wrong

                it does say how to enter them but i've entered the numbers in their correct order but to no avail.
                the code is the correct one cause i took the radio to the Ford dealer and he give me the correct code for that radio

                  try disconnecting the battery again to reset everything again...maybe a glitch...?

                    also maybe there is a sticky button too....or a bad button that presses down but doent connect to the chip board?...just shootin in the wind here?

                      i'm starting to think the same thing pyrothehitman, i have pressed every button and held it down for 3 sec and tried ever thing else imaginable. tried to dissconnect the battery, turn the ignition on and off........this is starting to give me the sh!tz :-(

                              or it may be blocking the radio, because you entered the code several times, if that's the case you should wait ten minutes to enter the code again ...
