  • Festiva glass removal

Met with one of my buddies rome-mates from work....he bought two festivas over this past week after seeing Fred's "red" at our work. He called me wanting to transplant a w/s from one festiva to another. Job turned out flawlessly,...that and i didn't know that early model festivas 88-89 were set in with byutol (sp?). After i finished he asked me about the defroster on the back of his parts car and how hard it would be to switch them. I told him i would buy it off of him but he insisted he wanted it for his dd. I told him we could swap the both of them out in the matter of minutes. 7 minutes later his dd had defrost and the other had the plain b/g in it. Did it with out rope too....by myself! Still got the glassman's touch.

I should of made a sticky with pictures....oh well I'm doing Fred's here before to long so I'll let him video tape/ picture take the process.

The donor glass is still in a parts car and the donee (donoree ??) is the project car. It has about an eight inch crack in the front windshield. Im afraid it may not pass inspection. You welcome to come to the ranch if you want. Im working 7am to 3 pm this week.
