looks like your door switch ground wire, should be connected to the jam switch.

ummmmm...door alarm? Not trying to be smart alec but I have never heard a door alarm on any of the Festy's I have owned. Mine is a GL, the dome light works fine but there is no noise at all when the door is open.

If the key is in the ignition it SHOULD buzz if a door is is open at a tone that if let go for more than 13.5 seconds causes people to either a) take there clothes off and run into a heavly wooded area or b) pull all of their hair out and assume the fetal position.

That being said....did only some years have this? Canadian models only? Ever one i have owned has buzzed. Maybe you have a wierd batch of no buzzers? or too many fireworks as a kid has left you unable to hear that specific tone?

Ive had to much coffee this morning.

I hear it....urge to kill rising....um *cough*..ok ..Mine gives that buzz that makes the passengers want to "pull all of their hair out and assume the fetal position." Is there a way to make it do the other one?

I have a tach, Is that it? I know there are some differences between tach and speedo's.

the tach dash will make a noise if I leave the lights one but I have had 6 Festy's I believe and I do not recall any of them ever buzzing when I have left the key in it. Believe me I test it everyday... I very rarely take my key out of my car....lol.

                            My Kia Pride's got it.

Curiously, it stops when you take the key out, but doesn't sound if you replace the key!

SHHEEEESH!....get this, I got into my car today....key was still in it from the night before. I grabbed the steering wheel while the door was open and it began to buzz...I wiggled the wheel and it stopped...wiggled again and it started. I do not recall ever hearing this before.
