  • 1989 Dodge Dakota help needed.

A buddy of mine has a problem with his truck . The brake lights and headlights aren't working. I Googled for help and found 3 possibilities.

    1. Main Light Control Switch
    2. Blown fuse
    3. Shorted wires.

So, I am looking for a copy of the wiring schematic for that vehicle and/or info from somebody who knows more than me or has had the same prob with the same vehicle.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Dan "Levitan"

also check the bulbs, one at a time if those don't work. They can be bad without blowing the filament. I had that problem with my old 95 aspire.

Dan, I have an after market manual for the 89 decoder. It isn't in the truck but I'll search for it in the daylight. If I have it, can find it, and there's a schematic in it, I'll scan and send it.

Dan, The Dodge manual must have grown legs. I looked in, over, under, along all sides too. It is nowhere to be found.
            Deepest regrets.
