  • inspection report in lots of work to do =)

    need to repair

rear right side tire (seperated steel belt) - fixed
rear right side drum nut stripped - fixed
    cracked windshield
    0% front brakes
    tie rod ends left side
    left side lca bushing
    both ball joints
    all struts leaking
    rear wiper not functioning

I can handle the windshield the brakes and the wiper from what I already know, what im wondering is.. are the tie rod ends, lca's, ball joints, and struts doable at home without any previous experience?

Its all doable... you might however need to invest in a few specialty tools.

LCA's and Ball Joints are replaced as a unit. As far as I know, You can't change just the ball joint.

If I'm wrong, someone please explain how to replace the ball joints.

^^ yeah they don't offer bolt in or pressed in lower ball joints like chevy does. Replace everything while your under there. Do we have another glassman here on the boards??!!

With a hammer, rachet, wrenches/sockets (10,12,14,17,18,19,23), needle nose pliers, maybe a set of vicegrips should be all your need.

Oh yeah wd-40 or some swear by PB blaster.
