  • CV Axle teardown Help

I need to remove the axle from the outboard cv connection. I only want the part that actually goes into the hub to remain, since my Festiva is being converted to RWD. I can not figure it out. Most have a lock ring, but I don't see one one the Festy axle. Any help?

is this being done off the car?

and not all have a c-clip

some use the same type of clip that hold the axle in the transaxle and must be beaten off with a large brass hammer

    I am the original

Yes it's off the car. Ok I'll gie it a wack, I just didn't want to tear anything up.

A few swift hits with the hammer, and they're off! Thanks.
