i Have a 1989 festiva carb and the gas gauge does not read properly. I need the fuel sending unit along with the floater. Does any know where i can get a new oem, used replacement or a work around with a universal unit from the auto parts store.

If the seafoam doesn't clear it up, I'd try a junkyard. I think you can get them oem from Ford, but they are kind of pricey. Or, check this out.

most likely, you've rubbed through the resistor coil wires in the sender (i've had 3 like this). pull it out and replace. i'm currently working on a fix for this but it may be a while yet.Trees aren't kind to me...
