  • 1995 Kia Pride 1.3 efi. Timing set. How much degrees should it be?

    Hi

I have a 1995 Kia Pride 1.3 efi with a b3 engine. I want to set the timing. I don't have a test light. Can I set it by ear? How much degrees should it be? Any help please?

    Thanks

10 degrees BTDC. Borrow a timing light, to get accuracy. Going by ear is OK, but not always best for mileage...

I bought a timing light. How do I set the timing? I never used a timing light before. 10 degrees BTDC at idle or while revving the engine?

I have a question for someone that have used the sti connector to time the engine. When you ground the sti, does the timing advance a little bit automatically? Pls answer

        Thanks
