  • external pump?

    ok i bought a used external fuel pump but i dont know how to run the lines for it. it says in and out on the holes but there is another hole on the bottom of the pump and it dont say any thing on it any one have a idea
    hear are pics of the line holes

      the third is either a vent for the mechanism or a return to the tank when it reaches too much pressure

        ok but they had a t on it with two lines and it does squirt fuel out of it. should i just make it run back to the tank then?

          should it go to the other spot at the bottom of the tank our on the top by the fill hole?

            ok i got it all hooked up i aint sure its right but when i try to start the car all it does is click. i had a charger on it for 20 mins and tryed it again and still click could it be that the pump is drawing to much power? it is a 12volt pump

                  Make sure you got a good charge and then make sure you've got good connections at the battery. Clean the posts and clamps then try. Also try a jump pack or use another car to jump it.

                    it has good conections and the post are clean and teh cable things are brand new and clean i did use a jump pack and wouldn't start it cranked a few times really slow then started clicking after and i put it on the charger and still same thing but i have not tried the car jump will try in the morning.

                      ok i got it running but now i am havein a problem with my maf. ok the second to last prong that is a goldish color the plug it is a white wire in the festiva harness. ok if that wire is unpluged from the maf the car will run but you hit the gas it dies if you plug it in ti wont run if you unplug it and start it then plug it in while it is running it will die. um does any one know what that prong is for and what pin it is on the ecu plug? its a 91 harness

                        or do you know what it is for? it turns to a black thicker wire but it dont say that in the diagram so what do you think it looks like it is in side the black coting? its weird

                              Have you tried the festiva VAF? That's all I can think of for now.
