89 Festiva fuel issue

Hi,I have a 1988 ford festiva lx, when i step on the gas pedal slowly and steady,she starts to jerk and hesitate, took the fuel line off at the carb and turned on the key and got plenty of fuel,not sure where to go next,thanks Leon

check the window on the side of the carburetta and make sure the fuel level is at the mark, have you guys got electric fuel pumps? the ones assembled in NZ have mechanical pumps.....

Perhaps you can try an additive in your fuel tank to clean the Jets inside the Carb, I have given mine a good dose of CRC carb clean while it was running with the air filter off also have you checked the fuel filter as it may be blocked and also try a new air filter as well.

Sometimes they are sneaky things like air getting into a cracked rubber hose and last time I found as a few years ago when someone had wrapped tape around the rubber hose and it took me ages to work out what was wrong
