  • Crank bolt update

Should the crank gear just "simply slide off" as the Haynes manual says, or will it need a puller? or a BFH
In the 90's we had Clinton in office. We also had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama in office and we have no Hope and no Cash.

    Crank bolt update

I finally got the bolt off the crank after breaking 4 sockets, and 5 extensions. I did how ever find out that the crank gear DOES simpliy slide off. Best of all i made a tool to help hold the gear in place. Take a look!

Notice the bolt. The bottom has been ground down (roughly 1/2 moon) to help go around the gear. The washer I used was from one of the three engine mount bolts on the passenger side. I used two bars on either axle to hold the hubs in place. Worked very well
