ok the green and red wire that comes from the maf that goes to the pump realy would that cause my car to not rev right if the relay is gone and it is jumping the pump so the pump just is kicking in? this is how it got the harness

That GR/R wire from the fuel pump relay to VAF also ties in to the "Fuel Test Connector."
The open connector parallels the fuel pump switch internal to the VAF. The connector is to the left of the vacuum booster. It has two contacts - two wires. One is GR/R, the other Black. From the wiring diagram, it looks as if you were to jumper the contacts in this connector it would shunt the VAF fuel pump switch.
I've never done it. I don't know what will happen.
Also note that the fuel pump relay has two pull-in coils. One appears to be powered from the starting system, the other from the VAF fuel pump switch.

ok i think i fixed it i have power to the relay now the pump kicks on only when i try to start the car when cranking and running is when the pump works so its good. but it still wont start or stay running for more than a few seconds. im thinking that my timing is off or my distributor wires are puled away from the distributor prongs so im going to get other plug and wire it in and see what happens
