Vibration when accelerating. It's coming from the left wheel.

Hi I have a 1995 KIA pride 1.3 engine and i have noticed vibration when accelerating. It's coming from the left wheel. I have checked the wheel for play & have found some wheel play from side to side. The play is coming from the steering rack rod, exactly where the inner tie rod is. But it's not the tie rod. I can't do any thing to repair it except replace the rack I think. Any suggestions please?
