The Festero runs great, but has a good ticking in the top end. Sometimes it will go away completely for a few days, but then it will start back. Is there an adjustment easily made, or a specific oil I might try. Thanks for any suggestions.

That does work, but I'm trying to sell. It's a great car, and I don't think it is anything that is gonna hurt its reliability, but it's not a good selling point. when someone is interested, and says "start her up", the next question is what is that noise?'89 Isuzu Trooper

it appears you have an EFI festy, so that has hydraulic lash adjusters opposed to the carbed manual adjustment of cam to rocker arm gap.

If the synthetic oil works...the existing oil has broken down...the engine will know no difference with a fresh oil change...conventional or synthetic...the benefit of synthetic is it's longevity.
If the oil change does not help...the rocker assembly will gave to be removed and cleaned up...possibly including installation of some new lash adjusters...it's a simple enough job.Joe Lutz
