Need some help.. 89 Auto

He said it's an 89 Auto, doesn't that make it FI? Never seen a carbed Auto. Tho, admittedly, I'm not sure I've seen a pre 90 auto at all.

The 89 auto is having some problems right now, yesterday I was driving it and only got a few miles from home, then it just dies on me. Tried restarting it a few times.. nothing, then called my dad, he came prolly 5 mins later tried restarting it a few times, finally got it to start up again. Then it died again right as he turned in the drive, pushed the car up to the garage, restarted on the 1st try then. I tried running it again today and it started right up on the first try, then died again after 5 mins of running.. Any ideas on what could be wrong? The car is a 1989 Auto.

i was having a similar problem and after checking the fuses i noticed that someone took copper wire and jumped the cigarette lighter fuse. This was causing a short and was killing my battery (when it decided to short out). Check your fuses, take your battery to an autozone and they will recharge and check it for free... then if there is still problems, check your alternator. It may be beginning to not operate correctly
