30 Festivas trouble

I am having a few issues with most of these festivas.First,I bought a new battery to try and start them.Only lasted 5 cars though.Any other fast option ??
Second,they all have old gas and , of course,won't stay running.any ideas other than adding a LOT of new gas ?
Third,I have a PERFECT body and no title ...any ideas ?
Next,I have to take pulleys off the bottom half.Could not budge bolt .
Also,what is the easiest way to remove rear spindles,e-brake cable.
As for a/c,what all would I need to include to remove a COMPLETE a/c system ??

there is a drain plug on the bottom of the tank...I know it is not a cost effective solution but at least an easy way to get rid of the old gas.
I have met you at Ohiostiva....I am not sure I would say you have a perfect body but if you want a title how about .... King of the Festy Hoarders.
I know that some have suggested putting a socket and a breaker bar on the bolt and bumping the ignition after bracing the bar against something.
Not sure about the spindles...sorry.
Same with the AC.

I may do that and keep it as my future builder.
as for the a/c,I have a frozen engine in a rusted car,so,I want to take all good parts off before scrapping.I do happen to need the lower pulley and the a/c pulley.

I consider myself a less savory character, and I say swap that plate! And maybe grind off the vin in the engine bay?

All i know is that when there was a rolled ranger that had it's cab replaced, a vinplate got moved, and it wasnt too hard there, just drill out 2 rivets and re-rivet it, or some double stick tape in a pinch

he has titles and bills of sale on all.He just never got any transferred over.Some they just signed the back.

You have to be very carefull swapping vin numbers on a car. Then selling it with your name on the title. That puts you and the person you sold it to in real deep DUDU. You may get away with it. But its always out there. Ready to come back and haunt you. Thats like opperating a chop shop. Don't do it!

I think you went a tad bit over your head in buying 30 cars. I wish i was closer so i could lend a helping hand....free pulling labor for exchange of parts!!

I get a rechargeable jumppack of atleast 500CA. Take a pan, a 14mm socket and rachet. Start draining gas.....

A full A/C system means pulling the dash...I've done two on a festiva, tons on other model cars.....takes time.

The ebrake cable is fairly easy, but be prepared to see many of them almost rusted out.

I'd only swap vin plates, if i was to keep the vehicle and not to sell it.

Assuminig your removing a crank pulley...invest in a snap-on 18 volt 1/2" drive impact. If that doesn't take it off, it will surely break it! Cheap solution would be a break over ball with a cheater bar attached to it.

It would almost be worth it to build some sort of portable tank, fuel pump and filter setup to bypass the cars gas tank and main fuel line. Just to know the fuel that your pumping through the system is clean and safe. And i would try and avoid putin the juice to them to spin them with the fuel pumps hooked up. I would pull the coil wire too. Then spin them. Just to get some oil back up in the engine.

yeah, drof 89 has a point!
You don't want to pump crap that may be in the fuel line and rail into the injectors.
Though if the fuel system is still sealed and full the gas will not have oxidize and gummed up too badly. its the fuel in the tank I'd be worried about pumping into the engine. Most of which should be caught by the fuel filter, if it has one in place.
Still good idea to drain and flush the fuel tank if you can.
Just hit the fuel shut of switch in the back hatch driverside and pull the coil and give the starter a few cranks.
At least this will get oil to the areas that need it without applying too much force on the parts before you actually start it up.
