  • Vacuum line routing diagram for '89 with carb

Does anyone have an easy to read/understand diagram for where all the vacuum lines on a carbureted 1989 Festiva go? I see the one on the underside of the hood but I don't understand how to read it. I installed a rebuilt carb and a new fuel filter today. The car now idles beautifully but as soon as I give it any gas, it shuts off. I checked the fuel pump, timing, and spark plugs - all is ok there. I assume I may have two vacuum lines switched even though I thought I had marked them so I would know where they go. Any suggestions on where to get an easy to understand vacuum hose routing diagram?

Hi, I feel your pain on the vac lines. Here's a link to another thread with some fairly easy to follow diagrams. I assume you have reason to believe the carb is good, correct? Hope these help. Best of Luck!!
