    Ho do you remove the steering column?

    bolts and screws, disconnect the wiring harness. There should only be 2 or so 12-14mm bolts holding it to the dash brace or the firewall. Take out the one bolt in the steering joint at the firewall, and discount the harness from it. Cake.

        i take it the dash doesn't need to be removed?

          Nope. There is a litte more than just the steering collumn. There is about 6 bolts, and 6 or so wire connectors to disconnect.
