  • a/c questions..

i have a few a/c questions. first i want to know where exactly is the orifice tube located.
how much refrigerant does it hold? and is there anything i can do to make it blow harder inside the car? it cools alright but if the temp is above 90 it doesnt do so great. i'm gonna replace the O T and the receiver/dryer and give it some fresh r12. my dad still has a 30lb drum but is there a cabin air filter anywhere that needs replacing or something along those lines? sorry for all the questions in one thread! thanks!

No cabin filter on these. Window tint is the best thing you can do to help the a/c. Oh nevermind you already have tint.

first of all, it does not have a orifice tube --it has an thermo-expansion valve and is located in the evaporator housing, which most likely you will need to clean the evaporator coil to improve air flow

and as for the a/c capacity: do you have factory or dealer installed a/c?

i really dont know.. or know how to tell whether its factory or dealer installed.. but as far as replacing the TXV how bad of a job is that? the whole dash have to come apart? or can the heater box come down in the floor board

the a/c condenser is not located in the heater core assembly

it is located behind and slightly downward of the glove box and is easy to remove
