I recently replaced the fuel pump on my 89 festy. It was leaking gas from the weep hole on the fuel pump and putting gas fumes in the car. Run your finger along the bottom of the pump and you can smell the gas on your finger if it's leaking.

I had the same problem with my 89 carb'd. It was leaking fuel from the bottom of the fuel pump. Easy fix to replace pump.Comment
