I replaced the pass. side trans seal. I can not seem to get the shaft all the way into the trans. I put my finger into the hole and i feel what i think is a round bar? how do i go about getting it all the way in. The reason i know it is not all the way in is that i add fluid and is just pours out.

Help - cv shafts
In the 90's we had Clinton in office. We also had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama in office and we have no Hope and no Cash.
God grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change, strength to change what I cannot accept, and wisdom to hide the bodies of those who piss me off!:-)

The seal needs to be flush with the tranny housing. Some aftermarket seals can be pushed into far causing a leak.
More likely...if the cir-clip hasn't been take off the spline or if it is not over expanded a little persuasion will settle the problem. The trick is to hold the axle straight and with a big soft mallet tap it into the tranny. A block of wood over the end of the axle with a big hammer will also suffice.Joe Lutz
