  • Normal Temp hard to reach

    Hi Festi comunity:
The last weekend was time to give my Festiva some love, that means: Control arms, inner and outer tie rod ends, one axel boot, two axel nuts, thermoswith, thermostat, temp gauge sender, coolant, motor and transaxel oil, all filters, radiator cap and new carburator, New spark plugs and cable, new rotor(could find the dist. cap but cleaned it real nice and went back in)

While working in the car I notice that he didnt have the thermostat, that explains why he didnt reach normal temp quickly enough.

Well I put all the new stuff in, start the car, adjust the timing and the carb, let him warm up and I notice that the needle did not reach the normal temp. The termoswith opens at 97 celsios and triggers without problems, the thermostat opens like at 80celsios.

Any ideas??? I tested the temp gauge and its good, and the sender is new.
