      Pics aren't showing up.

More details on the leak? What color is the fluid? Probably not tranny fluid if it's coming from the timing belt.

probably engine oil and its your crankshaft seal. that'd be my first guess.

also may be coming from your camshaft seal and leaking all the way down...

crank AND cam or just cam? its probably one or the other. regardless, your timing belt will need to come off to change the seals... wouldn't hurt to do both of them.

he didn't say anything about the starter, fan or blower. Those are the only motors I can think of, in a Festy

Is this a carburetor car? Open the air cleaner can and see if there is a pool of oil in there. When enough oil collects it runs out the air cleaner snorkle and down around the dipstick area. Looks like seal leaking but it aint. Ask me how I know..... LOL! If its doing this its pushing oil up the air vent hose from valve cover into air cleaner. Means compression is leaking into the crankcase and pressurizing it. I now have a spare 1.3 that runs pretty good except for pushing oil like this. Eventually I'll hose it down and disassemble to find out what did cause this, broken ring or what. My solution was to put a low mile Japanese B6 in my Festiva. Cheaper than screwing around diagnosing B3 internals especially since internals for these engines arent cheap.

it looks to b my crank seal due to the amount of oil sprayed from my timing and cerp. belts so yes assuming its crank.

I think I have the same problem. I thought it was my oil pan gasket and I ended up doing that three times. I finally got fed up and ask a shop to do it, but they said if it is just dripping then it is fine. Apparently this is common on the festiva? Plus this is the first car I have seen where the rear main and oil pan gasket is all one piece.

Both of my festies have this drip as well. I figured it was the waterpump, but I still drive the white one and it seems to be fine
