  • clutch pedal broke!!!!

has any one had this happen?

i was driving home from work and herd a pop... first reaction was "what the hell i just replaced the clutch cable!!!!" i was so mad... when i got home i pulled the cable and found in in tact... i looked over everything and found the pedal broken... i replaced it with a spare i had and welded a gussett on it... is this common? im rinnning a g25mr trans with a slightly upgraded clutch..
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

    not yet

It hasn't happened to me in a Festiva yet, but it did happen to me in my standard Malibu. I had it welded up again. Unfortunately, this one looks like it needs to be machined from solid billet, and not just stamped.

 i've never seen that happen before

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
