Can you swap a carbie tank into a EFI and have it work?
Thought there was some issue with that.
    Hope I'm wrong.

I thought the opening on the carb tank was smaller and wouldnt allow the fuel pump to fit in.

I have an 88 carb. where the fuel sending unit is the only thing in the tank. I also have acquired a fuel sending unit with a pump on it (came out of a mazda) that will fit inside an 88, however the electrical connectors are different of course. instead of a 2 terminal wire harness it is four. So in theory it should work.

although i do not know what you are talking about as far as the 4 lines on the filler neck. I know I have two fuel lines that go to the access cover for the fuel sending unit.

ok let me back up a bit and start over. this is build 2 on a turbo b6t. we switched bodies and this build is sitting at the 15,000.00 mark. we would have used the other tank but beings we got the new body out of a J/Y it was punched. As soon as I get a camera i will take pics and post the filler tube questions i have more clearly. I may even post pics of the engine and some of the mods done to it.

Brickdog. im not talking about the 2 lines that go in to the top of the tank but where the actual filler tube goes from outside of the car to the tank itself. I can only find 3 places to connect lines to and the 4th is just beyond my mind as to where it goes they all have clamps on them like they belong to somthing but have no clue where they go. if you have your side pannels off and can take pics that would be great.

I hope that kinda clears things up if not keep yackin at me till we get this figured out.

oh yeah our build (if we can hook up) should put us in the 10 second or almost 10 second area. thats all by calculators though and should be pushing around 350 hp i dont remember if thats just hp or whp... we will be running it on megasquirt so it will be an everyday driver with a push of a button and thinking of running 24lb of boost at the track and maybe around 15 for everyday driving.

Im in Spokane, WA. If ya look up Fastiva on youtube there is video of the old build. i believe it has a pic of a red body on a dyno. last season the best run was 13.4 i believe.

video of a few runs last season before build best run was 13.4 with this build the time slip is at the shop i will confirm when i get there.

I have my gas tank out right now and have all the lines labeled but it is a 92 festiva EFI, i Can take a picture of it tomorrow evening if you think it would help.

yes please. but the lines i really need to know are the ones that come from the filler tube. I think the ones im needing are the emissions ones. Though i have found out that I really dont need to know about any of them outside the inlet and return lines. I would like to get them all set back up the right way.

Might want to upload those to Photobucket or Imageshack to get them to work.
