so i had an e-test done and i failed....
Here in Ontario Canada we have a 40kph test folled by an idle test...
i passed the 40k test EASILY....
the idle test i failed ....there are 2 areas of that
nox, co ...the nox was 175 out of 200...so that's a pass....barely... and the CO was 1.98 out of 1 ....i assume that's a percentage
i need to be below 1 in order to pass the test and have the car plated....
by the looks of it, it needs to be running more lean at idle....from what i've read, the factory preset on these cars is normally between 1-2 ....
soooo....
i'm looking for the idle fuel mixture screw....i know it's been plugged, but i know you can drill it out. I did the same thing on my motorcycle...i drilled out the plug, and was then able to adjust the screw....
so where is it located on the carb?
i've got an 89 LX 5sp
