Well the engine in my 89 was well fried. no broke rings but glazed sleeves stuck rings pitted valves and one broke valve. I replaced the main bearings, rings and a handful of valves. When i was getting ready to set the head on i gave the deck and crowns one last look over and spotted something I have never seen before. Piston three which was around 3/4 down the bore seemed to be off center in the bore. It didnt look cocked in the bore just seemed to be favoring the front of the engine and appeared that i could see more of the compression ring towards the back of the engine, any thoughts? I have never seen anything like this. Will it correct its self with spinning the crank?
