  • where can i order parts online with parts schematic pictures?

forgive me for my ignorance, i am used to ordering dirtbike parts where i can pull all the components up for my bike, look at the number and order

i have a 97 aspire and i want to dig into the transmission and get some parts on my own online for cheaper than the ford dealer.

my issue is i don't know the technical terms for parts, etc. so i can't be sure what i am getting when i order at rockauto, etc.

i have one of those haynes manuals and they stink in this reguard.

i was thinking of ordering some supposed parts lists for my car on ebay as well as a oem repair manual from ford, but i don't know if it will help with everything i may encounter.

is it normal to be forced into going to a ford dealer for help with parts these days?

no, you can always go to autozone, napa, murrays / oreillys, any of the large chain auto parts stores....check ebay for an aspire factory manual....your right thou...haynes sucks the big one...manual is crapola...

        I am now, thanks

I know I can have the guy at autozone look parts up, but its kind of waste of time for all the little stuff plus I would rather know myself whats going on based on past experiences. Plus I want to price compare myself between the etailers with coupons, ebay, etc.
